Birds of a feather ~ an activity !
As Our Little Bear has settled into school, we’ve noticed that although she still needs down-time and space for ‘her’ at the weekends, she also needs small activities to do. Otherwise we hear, “I’m boooored” or “What can I doooo?”
With that in mind, we’re taking part in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch 2015 in January. (There’s still time to order your free family pack here.)
We can bird watch inside or outside which is perfect because while we do enjoy our fresh air, it’s also nice to snuggle!
The pack we received from the RSPB is really very good, with puzzles and colouring-in to keep our little bear interested whilst waiting for our feathered friends to fly in for a snack! Oh how she loves to colour!
The leaflet that came with our pack tells us that we’re going to be part of something big which started in 1979 and simply involves watching for birds for an hour, and then feeding back our findings to the RSPB to add to 35 years of information on how our feathered friends are doing.
Pop back in a couple of weeks to see how we got on!
This is not a sponsored or affiliated post, we are simply looking forward to this event 🙂
