Crazy and lazy…

…relaxing and productive, emotional and reflective, creative and invigorating, surreal and inspiring…not forgetting indulgent… that was my week!

Our little bear started pre-school this week!  We’ve been fortunate all this time not to have to rush too much in the mornings, without the need to be anywhere at a specific time.  So the 1st challenge was overcome.  We did breakfast, changed, cleaned teeth and were at pre-school on time!

Due to work and other commitments, we had never actually been to a session there before.  The next challenge was to leave here there.  More of a challenge for me than her!

Half and hour into the start of the session, I slipped off.  I walked down the road with no pushchair or chatting little girl.

Odd!

But refreshing.

New friends have been made, pictures have been drawn and we are the now the proud owners of the ‘book bag’.  First week done and it’s all good!

Me, I’ve got loads done.  From finalizing the narrative for my next book, to liaising with a possible illustrator for my children’s book.  From marketing my current book to a couple of catch ups with friends and a sneaky afternoon nap (shhh, don’t tell everyone!)  It’s been a lovely week off work for me.  I feel refreshed, relieved and a little bit annoyed that I’m back at work next week.  All good things must come to an end and it’ll be good to get back to normal in some ways.  Truth be told, I’d rather cram lots of things into a morning than end up being bored!

Read my emotional and inspiring true story ‘Diary of a Complicated Pregnancy’. Available now through my website at Virtually All Sorts. 50% of sales to the charity Action on Pre-Eclampsia. Thank you.
