How to represent a chakra for my #NextBigThing ?

how to represent a chakra #NextBigThing blog #whatimwriting

Since drafting the first draft of chapter one for my #NextBigThing, I haven’t done any direct writing for my project.  But I’m pleased to say that I haven’t been slacking in that area of my writing.  No, I’ve been pondering how best to represent a chakra.  I would like to have them illustrated in a simple, child-friendly cartoon form that is memorable and have a few more ideas bouncing around my little head…

While I haven’t been directly writing for #NextBigThing, I did go on a crystal healing course at the weekend where chakras were discussed.   I’ve blogged about crystals and crystal healing before and was interested to learn more.  (Watch my blog for more on this soon.)  The course was fascinating and I learnt a great deal, even thought it wasn’t intended as research because I booked my place before the idea of the #NextBigThing was even conceived.  My aim is now to draft chapter 2 by the end of this week and I will update on my progress for #WhatImWriting next week 🙂  If I could just have a couple of extra hours each day, that was be great 😉

  1. If you find those extra hours in a day could you point me in their direction too please?

  2. I’m intrigued by chakras and crystals, really looking forward to hearing more about your next big thing. As society begins to welcome alternative therapies, it will become essential to be able to explain it all to kids in a child-friendly way. You could be onto something here 😉 #whatimwriting

    • Yes, thanks MT for the encouragement. It’s essential for us to be able to explain to our children how we can manage our own happiness. That’s exactly what I’m hoping to achieve with my project. I’m so very excited by it all, particularly after my course 🙂

  3. Haha. I think we could all do with a few more hours in the day!
Like I said, I did a bit of crystal healing and have a friend who is trained in reiki so we discuss this quite a lot. Not sure how much of it I’m into personally, but I do believe that if something makes you feel better, then it’s definitely worth a go.
Looking forward to hearing more about your next big thing and thank you for linking up to #whatimwriting (as always). x

  4. I think a lot of writing is done in your head before you even start getting words down on a page. It’s all essential preparation! I remember chakras from my yoga days (which I don’t find much time for now). Good luck with chapter 2!
