In my ‘bag of tricks’ this week… what’s in yours?

So there I was, rummaging through my big tote bag (not my ‘hand’ bag) looking for notes that I had made for a blog post and ‘funnily’ enough, I didn’t find my elusive notes.  But I did find something…

…yellow and soft wrapped up in a clear carrier bag.  No, not a banana that’s seen better days ~ a small tube of suncream that obviously hadn’t found its way into our little bear’s bag for pre-school/childminder.

…soft on the outside, hard and ridgey just under the surface, black and red with a velcroed strap around it ~ an umbrella.

…the size of a golf ball.  Can’t be.  I don’t play golf.  Try again.  The size of a golf ball, hard with a pitted surface ~ a long-forgotten and forlorn-looking clementine.

…that makes a wrinkly foil-type noise when scrunched up.  A similar noise to a baby’s toy.  You know, the sensory ones where you tug the ear and it makes a, well wrinkly foil-type noise?  Nope not one of those.  Try again.  It makes a wrinkly noise and there’s a stray breadstick inside that our little bear has obviously somehow missed! An empty snack pack.

Along with these items there was a carrier bag containing the emergency waterproof top and bottoms for my walk to and from work… but no blog notes in my bag of tricks.  Oh well, no magical finds but at least it gave me inspiration for a different blog post so all was not lost. Funnily enough.

  1. Great post haha! I find funny things in my changing bag all the time, and never any of things I need! Once I found an old gold medal from two years ago when my eldest participated in a swimming course. How did it get there? Goodness knows! 🙂
