Time for a dose of happiness in #HighlightsofHappy blog linky #47 ~ because life’s for the good stuff

Your weekly dose of happiness…

Let’s spread the happiness!

It’s a common phrase isn’t it?…

“Bad things come in 3’s”

or words similar to that!

So, let’s flip it because everyone deserves a little happiness … (you know how I love to spread happiness and turn a negative into a positive with positive thinking !)

Let’s spread that happiness and find 3 things to be grateful for (or even more… well, why not?!)

In my weekly feature, I look back over my gratitude journal because that’s the great thing about gratitude and using my gratitude journal – it gives me the opportunity to look back and be grateful all over again 🙂  And that’s what I do here, in my weekly feature, I look back and on my #HighlightsofHappy.

I round it off with one word that sums up my happy…  why not do the same?

If you’re a blogger, why not share your happy post from the last week or so in the linky below?

If you’re on instagram, why not tag your happy snap #HighlightsofHappy and link up your pic in the linky below?

If you’re on twitter, why not tweet your happy with #HighlightsofHappy ?

If you’re all 3, why not do all 3??  The linky is below. (To link your insta happy snap, simply click on your insta pic, copy the url and paste into the linky tool!)

…so what’s been making ME happy?

For a totally random trip out to the local pub for tea and on a school night, too!  I had the best, the yummiest home-made pub lasagne ever.  The side salad was yum too.  You know how you often overlook the salad because, let’s it, it’s not as interesting as the main bit?  Well it was well presented and really was tasty with a mysterious, tasty dressing.
We had intended to go further afield for our pub grub and we all jumped in the car.  But at the bottom of our road, I suggested we try the local instead.  Being as we were already in the car, we just carried on.  Not so much rush hour traffic to battle through either.  So, yes, we parked outside the local pub which is literally a 5 minute walk away, at most, had our lovely grub and because it was tipping it down afterwards, we all piled in the car and drove back home again to just around the corner!  So funny!

and this…

For maybe a month, I’ve been drinking more water.  Much more water.  I’ve got a little drink bottle which I generally carry around with me.  It’s really handy and I get through around 4 bottles every day.  Bizarrely, as I’ve written in my journal, I’m finding that I’m less bloated  I’m also less hungry and my skin’s clearer.  It’s a no brainer really isn’t it?  I mean, who doesn’t know that drinking water is beneficial?… not sure about the energy increase you’re supposed to get yet though…!

I’m so grateful for being able to vote.  I’m not going to turn this into a political post but it’s such an important thing to do isn’t it?  And clearly some people take living in a democracy for granted by not voting.  Don’t even get me started on non-voters.  Seriously.  Don’t!!

So that’s my happy and my happy word is ‘grub’ because everything about our little trip out to the pub on a complete random makes me smile!

And how about you?  I’d love to hear about your ‘happy’ in the comments below or tweet me @AllSortsHere using #HighlightsofHappy

Go on, share your happy with me!

…Just like these people have

Jodie bought us a touch of style with t-shirts and bottom halves. Lots to love here!

Natasha Musing looked at keeping happiness in tact.

It’s looking like summer for Lisa.

Finally, Debbish talked about her decidedly ginger mullet… and other things!

Pop over for a read!

  1. I’m with you re the privilege of democracy. Here in Aus it’s compulsory to vote – which comes with it’s own issues, but there you go. I so need to remember to drink more water – maybe I should make it my mantra. We had some fabulous pub lasagnes when in England the other year – your local sounds pretty good. #teamlovinlife

  2. Sounds like a lovely trip to the pub, I do like lasagne and how handy that it’s so near to you, too! I drink lots of water and really notice on the days that I’m out all day, meaning I drink less, and miss it. It does make a difference! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x
