Your weekly dose of happiness…
Let’s spread the happiness!
It’s a common phrase isn’t it?…
“Bad things come in 3’s”
or words similar to that!
So, let’s flip it because everyone deserves a little happiness … (you know how I love to spread happiness and turn a negative into a positive with positive thinking !)
Let’s spread that happiness and find 3 things to be grateful for (or even more… well, why not?!)
In my weekly feature, I look back over my gratitude journal because that’s the great thing about gratitude and using my gratitude journal – it gives me the opportunity to look back and be grateful all over again 🙂 And that’s what I do here, in my weekly feature, I look back and on my #HighlightsofHappy.
I round it off with one word that sums up my happy… why not do the same?
If you’re a blogger, why not share your happy post from the last week or so in the linky below?
If you’re on instagram, why not tag your happy snap #HighlightsofHappy and link up your pic in the linky below?
If you’re on twitter, why not tweet your happy with #HighlightsofHappy ?
If you’re all 3, why not do all 3?? The linky is below. (To link your insta happy snap, simply click on your insta pic, copy the url and paste into the linky tool!)
(If you join in with my #HighlightsofHappy community on instagram, I post up my favourite snaps every Monday on instagram.)
…so what’s been making ME happy?
It’s such a cliche but this week has really just flown by in a blur and here are some of the reasons why…
Summer holidays have resulted in routine going out of the window to a degree, days blurring into several and me not having a clue what day of the week it is! But that’s good because it means that our holidays are nearly here!
Last weekend I attended a workshop on working with the new moon, hosted by Yasmin Boland. It resulted in me staying overnight (what a treat!) and meeting some amazing people who are all on the same wavelength as me. I also got my 2 books signed by Yasmin! It’s likely that you’ll start seeing snippets of my astrology ‘journey’ on my blog very soon because I find it utterly fascinating.
Due to being in London last weekend, I didn’t want to just sit in my hotel room all afternoon on Saturday, despite the persistent showers. So I ventured out. Shortly after I did, it poured down, with a bit of hail thrown in… I had my brolly but ended up very soggy and I ended up drying my shoes off with the hotel hairdryer a little later! I may well post a review of the Durrant Hotel here soon too. (excellent hairdryer by the way and a lovely bath!)
A while ago I posted how our daughter was having a poem published in a poetry anthology. Well, it’s arrived and seeing your 7 year old’s poem published in black and white is amazing!
After a school uniform trying on session, I went back to the shop to sort out the returns. However, there were still a couple of dresses at home that for reasons I can’t remember, missed the fashion parade. Having got my refund, I browsed for PE shoes and socks (I think I’d lost the inclination the first time round!). Making my way out of the shop, I checked that I’d got my purse, keys, phone and then I realised that I didn’t have my refund receipt which also had the remaining dresses still on it… I made my way straight back in and was so very relieved to find my receipt waiting patiently on the floor!
Our daughter’s reading the Harry Potter books and has surprised me with the speed of her reading them. To be fair though, I’m re-reading them too (she’s 2 books ahead of me!) and am having trouble putting them down. She was off on a sleepover at the weekend and I promised that I’d finish the 2nd book by the end of the weekend because she wanted to talk about it with me (aw!). I did it, I finished it!
So that’s my happy and my happy word is ‘workshop’ because everything about it was awesome. I learnt so much and am excited that there’s so much more to learn.
And how about you? I’d love to hear about your ‘happy’ in the comments below or tweet me @AllSortsHere using #HighlightsofHappy
Go on, share your happy with me!
