“A camel is a horse designed by a committee.
Alec Issigonis, 1906-1988.  Turkish-born British automobile designer.
I find this quote fascinating.  On the one hand, in my opinion, Issigonis is implying that committees are a waste of time because whatever they ‘come up with’, is usually bizarre and not the intended outcome; on the other hand, perhaps he is implying that committees are a collection of genius’s because a camel is in fact very well designed…
Perhaps we will never know!
