5 of the best herbal teas for your wellbeing
There’s nothing quite like a hot, comforting drink is there? Particularly in the colder months.
Some people reach for a steaming cup of coffee. Me? I reach for a soothing or reviving cup of herbal tea. I used to drink coffee but have blogged before about how I got off caffeine.
There are several benefits of herbal teas and I’ve tried many over the years.
Occasionally I take the teabag out before I drink but I usually keep it in because this really enhances the flavour. Here are some of my favourites:
Peppermint has a refreshing taste and is good for the digestion.
Fennel is cleansing on your palate and I find it quite calming
Mango and Strawberry has a lovely sweetness to give me a different boost.
Redbush (aka rooibois) is my ‘staple’ hot drink and the first non-caffeine tea that I began to drink.
Vanilla Chai is a fairly recent discovery and another one that I love.
What I love about herbal teas is the variety. There always seems to be another flavour to try to keep my tastebuds interested!
