‘Q’ is for ‘quill’

How do you write?

With a notepad and pen or pencil?

Straight onto the screen?

I write by making notes on a wad of paper.  It feels more raw, more creative.  Perhaps using a quill and inkwell felt more ‘raw’ for writers of yesteryear.

There’s no doubt that a quill has a certain romantic feel about it that, to me, adds to the creative process.  One day though, instead of owning a quill, I will own a beautiful fountain pen instead.

This post is for ‘Q’ in the #AtoZChallenge.

  1. I write with a pen in a journal when journaling (may seem obvious) but, for fiction and most of my poetry, I’m keyboard bound. I’ve always wanted to be one of those that wrote with a fancy fountain pen and had lovely handwriting…but I’m lucky if it’s legible…so computer for me.
