Feel Stress Free App From Thrive For Your Wellbeing Balance And Zen

Review ~ ‘Feel Stress Free’ app from Thrive

What do you think of when you come across the words ‘stress-free’ and ‘thrive’?
For me, it’s being relaxed yet energetic, being given the space to grow and reach my potential.
When I was given the opportunity to review the Thrive Feel Stress Free app, I thought it was a great name and a great concept, partly because it focuses on mindfulness and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).  The experts at Thrive claim to be able to manage your mental health and relax you in just 5 minutes.  An impressive claim!

So what did I think?

I wouldn’t have been able to get anywhere without downloading it, of course, which I found easy and straightforward.  Logging in took me an email enquiry to sort out because it didn’t recognise my details.  Frustrating, but with a bit of perseverance I was in!

When you get into the app, a really cute little buddha guy walks you through things.  The music is soothing at first but could get a little tiresome.  You can turn the music down on your phone or mute it in the app though.  The whole concept of a desert island background on the ‘home’ screen (and every screen) is really relaxing though and makes me think of me-time and my zen (which is great!)

In each option there’s lots of useful guidance, hints and tips for what you could do to reach your zen, find your balance and maintain it.

When I went through the mood tracker, I really felt that it was tailored for me; particularly because there was an option to add my own options.  Although I didn’t do it everyday as is suggested to get best out of it, I can see how this would be an interesting way to track your mood.

I found that this section in particular made me stop and think; it delved into my conscious and told me a lot.

The ‘Message in a Bottle’ social feature is really fun, but useful, too.  Here you can send an encouraging message or profound quote out in the ‘ether’!

The ‘wellbeing’ suggestions are a really useful feature and mind came out pretty much as I would expect, given my lifestyle.

After a month of using the app on pretty much alternate days, I would recommend using this.  Not least because every part of the app is based on clinical evidence and research, and updated regularly.
And don’t forget to follow Thrive on social media:

  2. Thank you for sharing. It sounds like this app would be a great way to track your moods and what is helping on bad days. Whether it be prayer, listening to relaxing music or really whatever! I like the idea that you can really make it what your want to be.

  3. Oh man, I could do with some mindfulness! With so many apps on the market, it’s good to know that this one is backed up by clinical research. Might have to give it a go! #KCACOLS
