Share The Joy with a little time for ‘a hug’
Kindness is something that I really try to embed into my every day life. And also into our 8 year old’s daily life (not forgetting hubby too!). We’re only human and so some days take more effort, more thinking about.
I’ve been following The Kindness Calendar from MakeTodayHappy and I find it works really well to focus on one thing which I then write about in my Share the Joy post, and I link up to the #ShareTheJoyLinky. Don’t forget to link up your posts with me this week! And this week, my act of kindness that stood out was…
‘Give someone a hug for a little bit longer and a little bit tighter.’
It goes without saying that I hug my daughter and my hubby every day. They are the first people I see and interact with in the morning and the last people I see before I go to bed. I’ve honestly never underestimated the power of a hug. The energy and love you feel from a proper, tight hug with someone you love dearly is second to none.
We usually have a ‘group cuddle’ every day too. That’s when, if I’m hugging our daughter, we call for daddy for a group cuddle. And likewise if I’m hugging hubby. Like I say, the feeling of complete and utter love is the most beautiful feeling in the whole wide world. And I absolutely love that it’s free too! Just as important is the love that we spread through each other and our surroundings when we do this. I hope our daughter has lovely memories of our group cuddles as she grows and grows! I know I will 🙂
What about you? Do you cuddle every day with those you love and care about? Do you feel it makes a difference to your daily wellbeing? I’d love to hear. Please do leave a comment below or tweet me @AllSortsHere.

Hugging is healthy for us both emotionally and physically. Did u know if babies aren’t touched and held enough, it can stunt their mental growth?
Really your post is very nice. I agree with you. like you, I hug my mother, father, sister and wife every day. Thanks a lot
