Share The Joy with a little time for ‘laughter’
Kindness is something that I really try to embed into my every day life. And also into our 8 year old’s daily life (not forgetting hubby too!). We’re only human and so some days take more effort, more thinking about.
I’ve been following The Kindness Calendar from MakeTodayHappy and I find it works really well to focus on one thing which I then write about in my Share the Joy post, and I link up to the #ShareTheJoyLinky. Don’t forget to link up your posts with Christina this week! And this week, my act of kindness that stood out was…
‘Do something that makes you belly laugh.’
We’re currently training our puppy and that involves telling her ‘no’ when she puts her paws up on the sofa. We don’t want her jumping up there when she’s older and so we’re training her now. So when our 8 year old laughs at her antics, it makes it a bit difficult to a) keep a straight face yourself; b) train our puppy effectively.
But on more than one occasion this week, our daughter has apologised for laughing, like proper belly laughing at our pup. Quick as a flash both hubby and myself have told her to never apologise for laughing. It is, after all, the best de-stresser and natural immune-booster!
Even better, when she laughs, it’s infectious and the house is filled with delicious, scrummy laughter!
What about you? What have you had a belly laugh about lately? Do you feel it makes a difference to your daily wellbeing? I’d love to hear. Please do leave a comment below or tweet me @AllSortsHere.
