Share The Joy with a little time for ‘chatting’
Kindness is something that I really try to embed into my every day life. And also into our 8 year old’s daily life (not forgetting hubby too!). We’re only human and so some days take more effort, more thinking about.
I’ve been following The Kindness Calendar from MakeTodayHappy and I find it works really well to focus on one thing which I then write about in my Share the Joy post, and I link up to the #ShareTheJoyLinky. Don’t forget to link up your posts below! This week, my act of kindness that stood out was…
‘Invite a neighbour round for a cuppa and a chat.’
Our neighbour knocked on our door the this week asking if we would mind popping in to sort out her parrot while she’s away for the way for work. Of course, we didn’t mind at all and our 8 year old enjoyed fussing her cat while I showed her what I did with the parrot’s cage.
A couple of days after she got back, I handed the key back and we had a good natter on the doorstep. It was one of those moments when the chat kept on going and she never actually got invited in! But we know we can call on each other at short notice and next time, I’m sure the kettle will go on…
So I was half way there!
What about you? Have you had a good chat with your neighbour lately? I’d love to hear. Please do leave a comment below or tweet me @AllSortsHere.
