Share The Joy with a little time for ‘wandering’

Kindness is something that I really try to embed into my every day life.  And also into our 8 year old’s daily life (not forgetting hubby too!).  We’re only human and so some days take more effort, more thinking about.

I’ve been following The Kindness Calendar from MakeTodayHappy and I find it works really well to focus on one thing which I then write about in my Share the Joy post, and I link up to the #ShareTheJoyLinky.  Don’t forget to link up your posts with Christina this week!  This week, my act of kindness that stood out was…

‘Stop, listen and appreciate any street performers you pass today.’

Our 8 year old was at her friend’s for a few hours and hubby and I decided to take ourselves off for some food, which was lovely!  And afterwards we strolled around the local town in the lovely, crisp air.  Nowhere in particular to go, just taking in the sights and sounds and althought we didn’t see any street performers, we really enjoyed our stroll.  It was our kindness, time for us, time in the fresh air… time out 🙂

  1. Kindness to self and others is what works best I think. I love hearing my children express kindness and giving time to their friends and also catching themselves when they have less kind thoughts.
So much to learn from blogs like yours and I mean me.

  2. Sounds like you enjoyed your wander through town. Looking forward to the Christmas lights in town are turned on for some wandering through town in the dark especially while drinking some festive drink. Thank you for co-hosting Share the Joy.
