Thinking positive and being grateful… ~ #PositiveThinking

Positive Thinking law of attraction gratitude vibration grateful happiness

~

Hello and welcome back.  It’s time for more Positive Thinking.  If ever there’s been a time when my capacity for positive thinking has been tested to the absolute limit, it’s been over the past few months on our rollercoaster ride when we experienced a family bereavement, hubby had appendicitis, we moved house and our little girl started a new school.

True to my beliefs, I found that keeping going by facing each challenge as it comes up and remaining focussed, went a long way to keeping sane and a little way to staying positive.

So, after all that’s been happening in the VirtuallyAllSorts camp, I’d like to use this post to reflect that we are absolutely what we think.  And despite having all sorts thrown at me/us recently, I’ve remained grateful.  To help keep me focussed on the gratitude, I have started a gratitude journal, which I will soon be blogging about.

~

What positive, happy thoughts are you going to have today?

I’d love to hear from you. Tweet me @AllSortsHere using the hashtag #PositiveThinking.

Let’s create a virtual wave of positivity!

#PositiveThinking is my monthly blog linky and twitter party.

Join me on the last Sunday of each month ~ link up any blog post with a positive and happy theme (and it’d be great if you could copy my badge below into your post).  Perhaps your positive thought could be connected to a goal you have in mind, something funny you’ve heard or something funny you’ve seen.  If it’s got a PositiveThinking theme, it works for this linky.  Old or new posts, it doesn’t matter – link up as many as you like.  The linky opens at 0600 GMT on the last Sunday of each month and stays open until midnight the following Saturday.

~

Also join me on twitter from 0900-2100 GMT on the last Sunday of each month.  Tweet anything positive and/or promote your positive blogpost (the one you link up!) with #PositiveThinking and include a direct tweet to me @AllSortsHere… I’ll share by retweeting.

Let’s get the positive vibrations going good and strong 🙂

And join me on the 1st of each month for #TheZenZing, putting the zing back into your life 🙂

My happy May #365doh

365doh May days of happy gratitude positivity law of attraction yoga zen reading happiness

So here’s where I sort the juice of my month from the pith and focus on the happy , the positivity and gratitude in my life 🙂

And it’s time to look back on May and its offerings!

But where did May go?  It all seemed to pass by in a blur to be honest.  That’s mainly due to 2 Bank Holidays (if you’re in the UK) and lots (and lots) of blogging.

After completing the #AtoZChallenge I decided to set myself a further challenge and blog every day until further notice (well, every day except Sundays. But even then I’m considering joining in with Silent Sunday…)  Why?  Because I absolutely love blogging and all that it entails.  I’m passionate about it and want to grow my blogging wings 🙂

We could all use a little gratitude…

That aside, I’ve started to do some yoga every other day and it’s really making a difference to my energy levels.  Okay, so I’m not *actually* jumping out of bed and stretching out on my yoga mat with a big smile on my face.  That’d just be a bit odd.  But I am getting up earlier than normal (and earlier than hubby and Our Little Bear) to do 10 minutes of stretching and breathing.  I’m managing to stretch that little bit more each time I do it, so I’m feeling that benefit that way too.  Why am I grateful for doing yoga?  It’s freeing up some time in the evenings to do some writing which I’m very grateful for.

We could all use a smile…

You know that big smile I mentioned just now?  Well there have been plenty, which is always a good thing!  One of those things is that Our Bear is loving a good book and can read by herself now, too.  Amazing!  She’s gone up 2 reading levels in the space of 2 weeks (maybe even less).  It’s a #ProudMummy(and Daddy)Moment indeed 🙂

…And we could all use some happiness…

That’s a snap shot of May.  Let’s see what June brings.  See you next month 🙂

What about you?  What have made up your happy days?

My happy April #365doh

#365doh april positive focus gratitude thankful smile happy happiness zen

Be happy, be positive and smile…

So here’s where I sort the juice of my month from the pith and focus on the happy , the positivity and gratitude in my life 🙂

We could all use a little gratitude…

April was all about the #AtoZChallenge for me as a blogger.  While it’s hard work to keep up with the posts (even when you schedule), it’s very rewarding to find fresh, new blogs to read, comment on and share.  And of course, it works the other way too – and I’ve felt extremely grateful that people have taken the time to do the same with my blogposts.

We could all use a smile…

Now that challenge is over for another year (I sound like I’m world-weary but I don’t mean to!), there is something new to look forward to on this here very blog!  It’s something to make me, you and everyone smile…  And that’s got to be a good thing 😉  On the last Sunday of each month we’re going to create a virtual wave of positivity.  I’m going to host a Twitter party on the theme of #PositiveThinking.  No negativity allowed 🙂

We could all use some happiness…

And finally in April, the sun shone, I even did some writing outside in the beautiful sunshine and even after the rain that we had too, the garden is now lush and ready for Summer.  🙂

Let’s see what May brings.

‘O’ is for Ordinary #AtoZChallenge

Hello and welcome to my take on the #AtoZChallenge.  You can find out why I’m taking part in ‘From Alpha to Zulu and everything in between…’

Onward!

O #AtoZChallenge blog writing a to z april challenge ordinary extraordainary extra-ordinary happy grateful complicated pregnancy

‘O’ is for Ordinary sharing for #AtoZChallenge

We’re all just ordinary people, spinning around on this ordinary ball of energy called planet earth!

Going about our ordinary lives, with our ordinary jobs, in our ordinary day to day lives, with our ordinary friends and our ordinary families, our ordinary children…

But wait. No, I’m not!

I’m not ordinary, I’m extra-ordinary.

I came through a traumatic, near fatal pregnancy and labour.

I’ve got a extra-ordinary husband,

an extra-ordinary child…

There’s nothing extra-ordinary about my life.

And for that I’m happy and grateful.

Every. Single. Day.

🙂

This post is for ‘O’ in the #AtoZChallenge.

My happy February #365doh

365doh february sorting the juice from the pith 365 days of happy blog positivity gratitude

Be grateful, be happy… and smile!

So here’s where I sort the juice of my month from the pith and focus on the happy , the positivity and gratitude in my life 🙂

We could all use a little gratitude…

Let’s kick start with how I rocked with gratitude in the form of a little poem ~ Look What We’ve Got.  I do like a rhyme!  p.s Look out for my post in the coming weeks on my gratitude rock 🙂

We could all use a smile…

Our cats didn’t quite know what to think of our little bear’s paper goat which she decorated for Chinese New Year while in her ‘Frozen’ Anna dress and Elsa wig!  She never fails to make me smile and appreciate a simpler take on life.

We could all use some happiness…

When my current writing project has slowed down a little, I intend to set myself some more writing challenges, like this one that Maddy at Writing Bubble did.  I do love a good writing project but I also enjoy a diversion, a change, a challenge, a chance to let myself ‘go’ a little 😉

Let’s see what March brings.
