“It’s time” ~ poem

How are you doing with your resolutions and goals?

Were they set at the beginning of the year?

Or did you say to yourself…

its time poem goals plans opportunity chance white space

I said that to myself and I started my gratitude journal in December one year instead of 1st of January!  It helps me to focus on my happiness each week.

It’s such a great tool for focussing on gratitude that I thought “why wait?”

I saw little point in waiting because…

When you wait you do nothing,

you make time stand still.

You don’t tick or tock,

you procrastinate at will.

When time stands still,

the world still moves on…

Life goes on around you

it waits for no one.

If you wait for a chance

you’re a fool to be sure;

you should try all the locks

to open the door!

For when you wait, you do nothing,

chances are you’ll lose out;

don’t wait, you can do it,

of that there’s no doubt…

Tell me about your mighty moment

Life has opposites.  It’s how we make sense of the things.

You might say that we need to experience the opposite to make sense of the ‘other’.

mighty moment full white believe belief self development confidence dreams focus inspiring motivating.,

When you talk to someone who finds themselves in unfortunate circumstances, do you empathise through being able to relate?

In order to have some compassion, do we need to have experienced something ‘bad’ to understand why someone has a bad attitude or why someone behaves the way they do?

Your answer might be different to mine.

But let’s understand one thing together:

Experiencing more of life, whether personally or through observing another person or situation, might help us to have some more compassion.

We are all living in this world together.

We might be just one person.

We might be just one individual.

We might think that we’re ‘just’ one.

…But we might be a collective with lots of similar thoughts, beliefs, experiences, observations.

We might have been told along our life journey that we ‘can’t’ do something, ‘can’t’ be something, ‘can’t’ believe something, ‘can’t’ say something.

…that we just ‘can’t’.

Well here’s the thing that you might do well to remember:

You are as big as you want to be.

You are mighty.

Has anyone ever told you that you ‘can’t’ only for you to prove them wrong?  Tell me about your ‘mighty’ moment in the comments below.  I’d love to hear about it…

And you can tweet me @AllSortsHere
