#Highlightsofhappy Blog Linky December 2018 ~ because life’s for the good stuff!

Highlights of Happy Blog Linky December 2018

#HighlightsofHappy is my monthly blog linky where I invite you to share anything and everything that’s made you happy!  It’s quite simple (we like simple!)

If it’s made you happy, share it!  A new linky opens on the 1st of the month.

The linky was born when I started to write in my gratitude journal every day and I’ve really felt that it’s made a difference.  Every month I look back over my journal and bring you my #HighlightsofHappy , which is great because it gives me the opportunity to look back and be grateful all over again 🙂

So if you’re a blogger, why not share your happy post from past or present?  It doesn’t matter how many you share as long as it’s your happy!  If you’re on instagram, why not tag your happy snap #HighlightsofHappy and link up your pic here?  If you’re on twitter, why not tweet your happy?  If you’re all 3, why not do all 3??

You can link up here!

And don’t forget to add my badge to your blog post (it’s at the bottom of this post).

(If you join in with my #HighlightsofHappy community on instagram, I post up my favourite snaps of the week every Friday on instagram.)

The badge is below.  Just copy and paste the code from the box below the picture.  Then paste the code into the ‘text’ tab of your blog post or sidebar.  Thanks!

The Great Thing about Gratitude

Over Christmas I read a book that really resonated with me.  During the break, I had decided that after a rollercoaster ride, I would take some time out for me and my family.  I decided that I would read a book that would help me to focus on what I wanted to achieve, and this in turn brought into question what I actually did want to achieve.

Gratitude journal writing positivity vibration law of attraction grateful focus 2

At the risk of sounding like a total cliché (there’s no getting away from it – we have a good and proper old-fashioned cliché here!), I realised that I wanted to focus on what I already have, to remain focussed on what I already have and on the more naff days that everyone has, focus on what I’ve got to be grateful for in order to bring that vibration of gratitude right back to where I want it to be.

One of the best ways to do this, as recommended in the book 30 Law of Attraction Practical Exercises, is to write a Gratitude Journal every day.

Considering I read this book in December, I decided there and then to start applying this theory and didn’t want until new year to get stuck in.

Since that day, I have taken my lovely notebook that is my Gratitude Journal and I have written 10 reasons to be grateful… every. single. day.  And I can honestly testify that it works.  If I’ve had a bit of a naff day, racking my brains for something to be grateful for does make me see the lighter, brighter, happier, even simpler side of life.  Heck, I even find myself making mental notes of ‘I can pop that in my gratitude journal later!’.

So yes, my gratitude journal is working for me, lifts my mood when needed and has become a good habit, which I’m very grateful for… And who doesn’t want some feel-good vibes?…

… one of my first entries in my journal was that when I was shopping for my journal, I stumbled upon a lovely turquoise desk diary and pocket diary (featured alongside my journal in the picture above) 🙂

What about you?  What do you do regularly to lift your mood and focus on being grateful?  I’d love to hear in the comments below 🙂
