Sometimes what we want to change is small, sometimes big – it depends on our own, unique situations.
Taking steps to make those changes is what matters. It can take 5 seconds to decide to do something to make a change and 5 minutes, days, months or longer to make that change. It’s time to focus on you so that you have time for you. Whether you have 5 minutes or more (!), finding time for yourself is a must, not an option.

Yes, I know you were probably distracted, multi-tasking no doubt, so I repeated myself!
Looking after yourself, just you, is so important to your physical and mental wellbeing.
Here’s how you can do it:
A brief guide to chakras
I recently told you how you can balance your body and mind with crystals. To illustrate how you can do this, there are many levels of alternative therapies that we can and must look at. The challenge is to introduce each level as a layer, much like an auric layer! (more on those at a later date!)
We each have 7 major ‘spinning wheels’ called chakras. They should each be open and spinning in alternate directions. They should also align with each other. If they’re not open and aligned, the energy cannot flow freely. When we have blockages in our energy flow, we become out of balance. This is when our body becomes out of alignment or not at ‘ease’. It is when our body is ‘dis-eased’ that we get ill. It is clear to see then, that if we keep our chakras balanced, we are less likely to experience ‘dis-ease’ or ‘illness’ and stress.

There’s nothing quite like a hot, comforting drink is there? Particularly in the colder months.
Some people reach for a steaming cup of coffee. Me? I reach for a soothing or reviving cup of herbal tea. I used to drink coffee but have blogged before about how I got off caffeine.
There are several benefits of herbal teas and I’ve tried many over the years.
Occasionally I take the teabag out before I drink but I usually keep it in because this really enhances the flavour. Here are some of my favourites:

So, let’s flip it because everyone deserves a little happiness … (you know how I love to spread happiness and turn a negative into a positive with positive thinking !)

…so what’s been making ME happy?
Well it’s been an amazing week, truly it has…
After a hospital appointment, I was discharged which, believe me, was an immense relief! A dear friend is not in such a good position and that’s really made me stop and be in the moment. I make no apologies for how corny that might sound. Because I’ve savoured every single good feeling I’ve had and hope to remain in this ‘in the moment’ mindset. Savour the good times people 🙂
The after school cheerleading club is doing a little performance for the parents and carers. Our daughter came out of the club this week clutching a slip of paper with details and I’m SO looking forward to it!
I went to see our girl’s class assembly and was so very proud of her doing a little solo introduction. She had been practicing her lines but she didn’t make it clear to me that she was actually introducing the class topics at the start of the assembly. Her voice carried very well and she remembered the words of the little intro. 🙂
We saw my grandparents, our daughter told them all about what she’s been doing at school, about her excitement for her up-coming sleepover and well everything in between!
For playing the recorder with my daughter. Yes, it came with a silent apology to the neighbours (!) and a *slight* cringe as she didn’t quite have her fingers fully over the holes at times… but that’s all a part of the fun hey!
I had time to myself for pretty much a whole afternoon while hubby and our girl went on a little shopping adventure. I curled up on the sofa in the sunshine like a cat and stayed there for a very long time 🙂
So that’s my happy and my happy word is ‘amazing’ because looking over my gratitude journal, it’s literally full on every page. That tells me that a whole load of happy has been going on. And my mood and mindset totally reflects that. I make no apologies for being happy and I never will 🙂
