I recently told you how you can balance your body and mind with crystals. To illustrate how you can do this, there are many levels of alternative therapies that we can and must look at. The challenge is to introduce each level as a layer, much like an auric layer! (more on those at a later date!)
We each have 7 major ‘spinning wheels’ called chakras. They should each be open and spinning in alternate directions. They should also align with each other. If they’re not open and aligned, the energy cannot flow freely. When we have blockages in our energy flow, we become out of balance. This is when our body becomes out of alignment or not at ‘ease’. It is when our body is ‘dis-eased’ that we get ill. It is clear to see then, that if we keep our chakras balanced, we are less likely to experience ‘dis-ease’ or ‘illness’ and stress.
Other than introducing you to my ebook ‘The Domino Effect‘ (for your free copy, opt-in at the bottom of this post), the best way I can think to introduce you to the wonderful world of chakras is in poem form. Here’s one that I wrote a few years ago and it’s the perfect time to share it again:
With the general business and busyness of everyday life, it’s so easy to get swept up in the day isn’t it? But I find that by starting my day off on the right ‘foot’, it gives me a head start in overcoming any stress and negativity that comes my way throughout the day. By having a daily routine, I have time for me albeit in the early hours before any else is awake. Yes, I often struggle to get out of bed in the morning due to tiredness but I usually stick to my daily routine which happens to be in the morning (and bits of it are often repeated at night) and I really feel the difference.
So what do I do in my daily routine to keep my ‘zen’ in balance?
What do you think of when you come across the words ‘stress-free’ and ‘thrive’?
For me, it’s being relaxed yet energetic, being given the space to grow and reach my potential.
When I was given the opportunity to review the Thrive Feel Stress Free app, I thought it was a great name and a great concept, partly because it focuses on mindfulness and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). The experts at Thrive claim to be able to manage your mental health and relax you in just 5 minutes. An impressive claim!
I was recently sent a yoga CD from Group Fitness Music which was produced with teachers in mind, as well as individual users. The music is fully licensed so you can use it anywhere and although I received a CD, it’s available for download on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon.co.uk and Spotify.
Onto the window sills to dot a few more turquoise accessories around, like the vase and the buddha…
I also love the bird, the heart and the tips on using turquoise on sore throats…
Wouldn’t you just love to wear the cute little meditating yogi pendant?! I know I would!
…Bliss… a touch of turquoise in every room, making every room somewhere to unwind, whatever the season.
In the next #TheZenZing I will be exploring the colour turquoise (in whatever form), how it affects your moods and how it can lift you when the days get shorter… join me on 1st November for that gem in #TheZenZing 🙂
How about you? Do you like turquoise? If not, what are your favourite colours to pick you up? I’d love to hear! Comment below or tweet me @AllSortsHere.
