Sun, moon, stars ~ essential oils

You may have read how I’ve started my sun, moon, stars journey.
Part of that journey is to use essential oils each month to compliment my monthly intention-setting, manifesting and moon work.  Last month I used Laurel essential oil by literally wafting an open bottle under my nose because I’m yet to get a diffuser!  On one occasion I did use my old oil burner and it’s an amazing scent.

The search for the right diffuser

I used essential oil burners years ago and got out of the habit.  But then my sun, moon, stars journey began and I found the much more pet-friendly contemporary diffuser option.  I say pet-friendly because you don’t need a candle to heat the oil with the diffusers.  So nothing for the cat to knock over or the dog to swish her tail at!  This month I’m using Patchouli and my next step will be to use an essential oil diffuser, when I’ve got one!  Then to get one of those handy and cute essential oil bottle holders to keep them in!  A tidy house is a tidy mind after all.
I’m looking forward to trying one out and also to hopefully feel the benefit, alongside my work with chakras and angels.

Do you use essential oils?  Have you got a diffuser to recommend?  I’d love to know!  Please comment below or tweet me @AllSortsHere. Thanks.

A brief guide to chakras ~ poem

Brief Guide to Chakras Wellbeing Balance

A brief guide to chakras

I recently told you how you can balance your body and mind with crystals.  To illustrate how you can do this, there are many levels of alternative therapies that we can and must look at.  The challenge is to introduce each level as a layer, much like an auric layer!  (more on those at a later date!)

We each have 7 major ‘spinning wheels’ called chakras. They should each be open and spinning in alternate directions. They should also align with each other. If they’re not open and aligned, the energy cannot flow freely. When we have blockages in our energy flow, we become out of balance. This is when our body becomes out of alignment or not at ‘ease’. It is when our body is ‘dis-eased’ that we get ill. It is clear to see then, that if we keep our chakras balanced, we are less likely to experience ‘dis-ease’ or ‘illness’ and stress.

Brief Guide to Chakras Wellbeing Balance

Other than introducing you to my ebook ‘The Domino Effect‘ (for your free copy, opt-in at the bottom of this post), the best way I can think to introduce you to the wonderful world of chakras is in poem form.  Here’s one that I wrote a few years ago and it’s the perfect time to share it again:

How to find balance in life with a daily routine

How To Find Balance With Daily Routine

How to find balance in life with a daily routine

With the general business and busyness of everyday life, it’s so easy to get swept up in the day isn’t it?  But I find that by starting my day off on the right ‘foot’, it gives me a head start in overcoming any stress and negativity that comes my way throughout the day.

By having a daily routine, I have time for me albeit in the early hours before any else is awake.  Yes, I often struggle to get out of bed in the morning due to tiredness but I usually stick to my daily routine which happens to be in the morning (and bits of it are often repeated at night) and I really feel the difference.

How To Find Balance With Daily Routine

So what is my daily routine?

What do you think of when you come across the words ‘stress-free’ and ‘thrive’?
For me, it’s being relaxed yet energetic, being given the space to grow and reach my potential.
When I was given the opportunity to review the Thrive Feel Stress Free app, I thought it was a great name and a great concept, partly because it focuses on mindfulness and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).  The experts at Thrive claim to be able to manage your mental health and relax you in just 5 minutes.  An impressive claim!

Where to go for a turquoise zen wish list

turquoise-zen-wish-list-tick-wellbeing

 …  Pinterest of course!…

~

When we moved house, we began to add some splashes of colour in each room.  We love dashes of colour dotted around and my absolute favourite colour is turquoise.

Thanks to pinterest, I have been virtually ‘zenning’ it out with my A Touch of Turquoise Zen board.

I love the lotus flower tea light holder (oh how I love candles and holders!)

And the amazing moon bath light (just wow!)

Onto the window sills to dot a few more turquoise accessories around, like the vase and the buddha…

I also love the bird, the heart and the tips on using turquoise on sore throats…

Wouldn’t you just love to wear the cute little meditating yogi pendant?!  I know I would!

…Bliss… a touch of turquoise in every room, making every room somewhere to unwind, whatever the season.

In the next #TheZenZing I will be exploring the colour turquoise (in whatever form), how it affects your moods and how it can lift you when the days get shorter… join me on 1st November for that gem in #TheZenZing 🙂

~

How about you?  Do you like turquoise?  If not, what are your favourite colours to pick you up?  I’d love to hear!  Comment below or tweet me @AllSortsHere.
