Time for a dose of happiness in #HighlightsofHappy blog linky #49 ~ because life’s for the good stuff

It's Time For A Dose Of Happiness In #HighlightsofHappy 49 Blog Linky Because Life's For the Good Stuff Hayfever Relief

Your weekly dose of happiness…

Let’s spread the happiness!

It’s a common phrase isn’t it?…

“Bad things come in 3’s”

or words similar to that!

So, let’s flip it because everyone deserves a little happiness … (you know how I love to spread happiness and turn a negative into a positive with positive thinking !)

Let’s spread that happiness and find 3 things to be grateful for (or even more… well, why not?!)

In my weekly feature, I look back over my gratitude journal because that’s the great thing about gratitude and using my gratitude journal – it gives me the opportunity to look back and be grateful all over again 🙂  And that’s what I do here, in my weekly feature, I look back and on my #HighlightsofHappy.

I round it off with one word that sums up my happy…  why not do the same?

If you’re a blogger, why not share your happy post from the last week or so in the linky below?

If you’re on instagram, why not tag your happy snap #HighlightsofHappy and link up your pic in the linky below?

If you’re on twitter, why not tweet your happy with #HighlightsofHappy ?

If you’re all 3, why not do all 3??  The linky is below. (To link your insta happy snap, simply click on your insta pic, copy the url and paste into the linky tool!)

(If you join in with my #HighlightsofHappy community on instagram, I post up my favourite snaps every Monday on instagram.)

…so what’s been making ME happy?

Spending time with friends.  I got a text to see if we were going to a local Summer Fayre.  I’d forgotten it was on, and it happened to be the mum of the first friend our daughter made at her old school that had text me.  Suncream, sun hats and a picnic later and we were good to go!
And the next day, we had a sort of last minute trip out to a local festival.  Again, suncream and sun hats were very much the order of the day!
Seeing our girl engrossed in the birds prey at the festival. Her topic is animals, so it was very well timed!

and this…

Getting a good night’s sleep in the heat.  Let me make it clear – it’s lovely to have the warmth but boy did I need a decent night’s sleep!  I think it was sheer exhaustion!
Keeping up with my daily yoga stretches.  It really does feel good and sets me up for the day.  I often do them in the evening too.  Go me!
A good friend was on a school trip with my daughter’s year group.  I got a text to say she had really bad hayfever (first time, poor thing!) and could she give her Piriton when they got back to school?  My answer was yes of course…  And I managed to pop to the chemist to get stocked up before I collected her.  It seems to be under control now and I’m very grateful for that little bit of relief and magic in a bottle

So that’s my happy and my happy word is ‘relief’ because seeing your child suffer with hayfever and feeling helpless is not good.  But being able to give a couple of doses a day of magic from a bottle is such a relief for everyone!

And how about you?  I’d love to hear about your ‘happy’ in the comments below or tweet me @AllSortsHere using #HighlightsofHappy

Go on, share your happy with me!

…Just like these people have

I love how more curious shots of children get added to this post from Lisa!

And these capri prints from Jodie are right up my street.

Pop over for a read!

Reflections From Me

Quite Frankly She Said
The Reading Residence
  1. I’m loving blue skies & mild winter days. I’m missing my daughter who’s been in Sydney with her grandparents, but can’t wait to see her in Melbourne tomorrow for a girl’s weekend.

  2. I think the best days out are the ones that weren’t planned, it sounds like you had a lovely time. My little girl has hay fever too, I’ve been going up to school at lunchtime to give her a dose as it’s been particularly bad this year so far. Have a lovely weekend. #WotW

  3. I do love impromptu trips out, yours sound lovely. Oh, your poor daughter. My two shows no signs of suffering, yet, but as myself and my husband do I wouldn’t be surprised if they did one day. Hope your girl’s OK x Thanks for sharing with #WotW

  4. What’s making me happy today – sitting curled up with my laptop on the lounge, snuggled under a blankie coz the winter weather has finally arrived; a lovely night out with my family last night; and a friend dropping by earlier this eevening 🙂

  5. Well done on the yoga front. I need to get back into it. I love the festival thing though and we’ve had a few in my part of the world lately including a Mary Poppins festival this weekend. I didn’t go as it’s more geared to families etc, but I have had a couple of lovely catch ups with friends.
