What does beauty mean to you?
It’s whatever you want it to be, whatever you feel it should be…
Take tattoos. Personally, I don’t like tattoos, I never have. But for many, it’s an art form, a form of expression.
Just like I don’t wear much makeup these days. Yet many can apply makeup with flair and the result can be natural-looking and striking.
Take the eyebrow trend. I’ve never drawn my eyebrows on because I’ve never had the inclination to do it properly. Done properly, it looks great with the striking makeup apparel I just mentioned. The less said the better about eyebrows done badly…
A few years ago, I got my nose pierced. I loved it straight away and am considering a hoop in my bottom lip. Because I want to and I believe it will look good on me.
An old work colleague had her breasts enlarged. She researched and had a consultation at a beauty clinic. She’s happy with the results.
And that’s my point.
Beauty is very subjective. What I might like, you might not and vice versa. But that shouldn’t stop us improving our beauty in any way we choose to.
Even if we don’t always see beauty in ourselves, we’re all beautiful to someone.
